How do you use a pH Test Strip?
pH test strips are the easiest way to check the water pH. Just dip in water and compare to a chart.

Why is pH important in boilers?
Most boilers are made of mild steel. At elevated temperatures and pressure, mild steel becomes very corrosive. For this reason, the boiler water pH must be increase with alkalinity. Increasing the boiler pH above 10 will decrease the overall corrosion rates within the boiler.
